If you enjoy watching birds in their natural environment, the Castro Verde area is considered one of the most important steppe areas in Portugal, home to protected species such as the great bustard, the little bustard and the lesser kestrel.

Nature lovers can enjoy unique images and sensations during bike rides, allowing them to get to know the plains of Castro Verde. There are bicycles of various sizes for children and adults.

All accessories and fishing rods are available free of charge for guests.

There is a dam near the farm where you can fish for rockfish and crayfish.

A walk in the Baixo Alentejo steppe area, known as campo branco, which is especially good for birdwatching, observing the flora, fields and fallow land.
You will also get to know the social traditions of the villages and hills.
The trail is not very steep and is particularly suitable for walkers. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing.

Next to the dam is a river beach, with sand on one of the banks, allowing you to spread your towel or sunbathe and where you can enjoy sun loungers and straw hats.
The fluvial beach also offers a great place to rest and contact with nature. At the same time, it encourages the practice of canoeing and boat trips, providing all the necessary equipment.
There are 4 waistcoats available in a tent next to the river beach. The use of sun cream, hat, comfortable clothes and waterproof shoes is recommended. There is a walkway from Casa do Monte to the river beach.

Jeep rides take place with an additional cost and booking. They last approximately 60 minutes and are a sensational adventure of great emotions in the Alentejo plains.

The Alentejo region offers activities for all guests who wish to enjoy a night of starry sky watching.
These activities depend on the weather conditions: rain and cloudy skies do not allow observations.
